Last year proved to be a huge success at the Kanata Farmers market thanks to all the Kanata residents' support.  People were very excited to see us open earlier in the season in early May to offer them the first products available of the year.  Having received wonderful feedback from customers, we have once again chosen to open early this year, on May 5th, the weekend before mothers' day.  As usual the market will run until the end of October.  The start of this season will bring some very fresh and tasty products such as: honey, breads, baked goods, apples, meats, garlic products, hot sauces, eggs, cheeses, maple syrup, and spring veggies.

We have also opened a new location, the St-Laurent Farmers Market this year at the St-Laurent shopping center.  We are located in the St-Laurent Shopping center parking lot right next to the intersection of St-Laurent blvd and Coventry rd.  We will be open at this location on Sundays from 9:30am to 4pm starting May 6th and go to the end of October.  Keep an eye on our website for information on our producers and more information on the St-Laurent Farmers' Market.

A little History on the Kanata Farmers' Market:
The idea behind this beautiful market was to offer Kanata residents a farmer's market close to home that they can call their own. We wanted to offer customers a location where they could purchase most of their weekly grocery needs knowing that it is all fresh and local and that they are supporting the local economy by buying directly from local Ottawa Farmers. To accomplish this goal, we assembled some of the best producers in the Ottawa area with products ranging from fruits and vegetables, to meats and baked goods, to honey and garlic, to cheeses and eggs, etc. The market has had a very successful first and second season thanks to the wonderful support from our customers. We are anxious to start off our 3rd season in 2012 and once again see you, our valued customers.
